The holiday season can be a downer for those in service based businesses that aren't focused on retail, food, or gift items. This episode is all about how you can navigate this season as a non-retail business, the mindset you need to have, and the strategic thinking that will help you boost revenue in 2019.
In this interview you'll hear from Judy Goldman, a Colorado entrepreneur who led her team of interior designers from a $600,000 annual revenue to $3.5 million dollars in just 18 months. She acquired Design Studio Interior Solutions in 2016 and has grown the company from a few contractors to a team of over 15.
Judy's strategy relies on structured leadership, team empowerment, and creating a culture that enables her team to accomplish their best.
I'm Krystal Covington. A few years back I started an organization called "Women of Denver," that created a beautiful grassroots community of entrepreneurial women who support each other, provide education to help each other thrive, and love each other as friends.
We began with a focus on friendship, love and community since in a city where so many people are recent transplants, many of us get lonely and simply need a place to find support and personal growth.
Eventually as I moved forward into my own journey I experienced an awakening of sorts where I realized that I might be continuing the cycle we've been in and not forwarding it.
A few things happened that made me realize the need to change.
All of this made me cringe! While I thought I was helping women I was still perpetuating the same cycle of focusing on others, not realizing our own potential, putting money, wealth and success on the backburner, and keeping our wallets tiny as hell. That is NOT ok.
I worked with a consultant to transform my business into a social enterprise that has a mission of helping women earn their worth. Now, we blend financial education with our personal development and have programming dedicated to breaking the trend of women not talking about their own success.
As I go about the world meeting new people, connecting with women internationally and building new relationships outside of Denver I realize there's so many women out there who also need this message. That's why I've created Women Who Badass to bring the solidarity and sheer badassery we've built here in Denver to the global masses.
Women Who Badass is for you if:
